Bring in Quality Traffic with Reputable Website Submission Directories

If you want to generate more traffic, quality traffic that is, to your website, look into submission directories. These are free ways to get more traffic to your site and all they really require of you is some time, effort and a little bit of writing.

Website submission directories are websites where you can go and register your site so it can show up more often on search engine results. The easier people can find your website, the better off you will be and the more traffic you will generate.

There are a few things to know before doing this.

Why? – Search engines will scour the web looking for things and may find you regardless; however, by submitting your information, you greatly increase the likelihood of your site being found near the top of the list.

Where? – There are a number of directories but a few are the best. You will want to sign up with them. The best out there are Yahoo Directory Services, Google Directory, and Best of The Web.

How often? – Check back every month or so to make sure your information is correct and up to date. Nothing is worse than clicking a link and having it broken.

There is also a website called Pingomatic.com. This is a pinging service where every time you add new content to your website, you can ping it to help drive more traffic to your site. This is one of the top pinging services around. It should also be checked on a regular basis for correct information.

While you certainly can wait for the search engines to find your website on their own, you will start seeing traffic much sooner by taking the time to use reputable website submission directories.

You will likely see services that offer to submit your site to hundreds of directories automatically. The general rule is these services aren’t very helpful and can be extremely expensive.

Your best bet is to do the manual submissions and get the targeted traffic you need.
